On the last meeting between these 2 teams Rovers were beaten 15 nil.
Playing against very much the same players Rovers knew they had there work set out for them.
Rovers went behind to a well worked Curzon goal.
This seemed to spark Rovers into life and they came close to scoring on a couple of occasions before the leveler came.
Kell was sent away down the right and her cross found the timed to perfection run of Fletch who took the ball down and past the centre half and passed to Rachel M who showed Great bravery to bundle home despite the onrushing keeper and post.
With the game level and both teams competitive. This was looking like a good game then the ref made a serious of errors before and after the break to hand the initiative back to Ashton. Curzon showed malice in some late tackles after the ball had long gone this went unpunished when a ref of any quality would have given Rovers a bit more. Rovers should have had a penalty when Rachel M was sent t the floor after laying off the ball but no decision was given. Soon After it was Rachel M again who was sent clear only to be took down by the centre half. In any football match last defender taking down a player tru on goal is a straight red. But not even a yellow was given.
Ref then some how found 8 Min's of added time at the end of the half and with the last of these added Min's Curzon scored with an obvious offside goal.
To add salt to the wounds he remade the same mistake in the second half to leave the greens trailing 3-1 .
With the loss of cris our captain to boot and Rovers playing against 12 Rovers were up against it.
But the players took to the challenge coming close on a number of occasions to reducing the score line.
Rovers were awarded a free kick for another late challenge this time on Rachel G.
Amanda 40 yards from goal struck the perfect free kick and Rovers were back in the hunt 2-3.
The greens were unlucky not to at least take a point but for Curzons keeper who was on inspired form stopping both Amanda and Rachel M from close range.
While Rovers pushed forward we left gaps at the back but Sam who played 35 Min's made 2 fine saves to keep a clean sheet for herself.

Ref Watch

Rubbish but sadly seems to be the standard of refs in this league.
Managers Point Of View.
We spoke at the end of the game about players dropping out late on when they have said they can play and lack of regular turn out at training will go into this in more detail on the next report.
