Kelly - GK Izzy – RB Cris – CB (Capt) Alison McG – CB Kath – LB Chloe – RM (Nic 60 mins) Rachel – CM Nat – CM Jen– LM Amanda – CF Lena – CF Before this game Rovers’ opposition had won their last six league games all by considerable margins and it was easy to see why they are having such a successful season, having made it to a cup final as well. Rovers started quite well on a quick 3G pitch with some good passing in midfield and the strikers working hard. However Curzon proved to be clinical up front and punished almost every mistake Rovers made in defence and midfield, Kel not having much chance in goal due to the relentless number of shots at her, but still making a couple of good saves. Rovers found themselves 9-0 down at half-time but despite the huge scoreline went out and played better in the second half, keeping the arrears down as much as possible against a very good side who will be competing at a higher level before too long. Players’ player of the match – Alison McG. Alison has been playing in an unfamiliar role in central defence in recent weeks due to injuries to usual centre backs; she put in another solid display and highlighted her versatility. Well played McG. Follow Rovers on Twitter at twitter.com/#!/manroverswfc
