On the back of an excellent victory Rovers had to contend with four changes to the starting line-up and more than a hint of some hangovers. The start was bright enough as Rovers looked to gain the initiative. After ten minutes Rovers clearly dropped to the level of the opposition and struggled to string passes together. At the other end a comedy of at least half a dozen errors led to DS having a stone wall penalty appeal ignored, with 7 players on the goal line the right winger pulled the ball back to the one DS player in the box who hit the top corner, 0-1.
At half-time the players on the pitch were given the chance to put right a poor first half performance.
The second half saw Rovers gain the initiative, a scrappy goal saw Nathan nod the ball over the line from close range to level the score 1-1. Although Riccy made one great save at the start of the half DS had no opportunities the rest of the half, however a miscommunication at the back saw DS restore the lead against the run of play 1-2. In the battle to come from behind for a second time Rovers should have won the game and won the game again with no less than 5 clear cut chances including hitting the post and a stone wall penalty which was bizarrely turned down when Nathan was tripped in the box.
