Rovers took advantage of having turned up on time and warmed-up by hitting Gorton early on. After some decent pressure, from the left corner of the box Owen’s georgeous left footed volley found the far corner, superb finish, 1-0. Dec won another solid header, Miguel won the knock down on to Gilly who played in Fraser down the left side of the box, Fraser rifled home an unstoppable low shot across the keeper, 2-0. Fraser had to leave early after having made an excellent start to the game. Manu soon carried on where Fraser left off. Manu epitomized the six second rule, won the ball off their keeper and walked the ball home, 3-0.
G asked us to win the second half.
A couple of chances went begging. After a few changes for Rovers their player was brought down in the corner of the box for a penalty, 0-1. Rovers had a number of breaks and chances. There was some excellent football at times. Eventually Manu stepped in off the left wing and curled a great effort into the top corner, 1-1.
Another solid win but we really should have shown the same drive for goals as last week and won the second half. At 3-1 they almost got back into the game with us dropping to their level.
We need to start to lifting our performance to a higher level. Next week a massive derby game where only a win will do. Only top gear from start to finish from defence to attack will do.

2 Mason, Ross, George, Owen, Manu
