First met second yesterday.
Withington who had a 100 % record before yesterday on paper this looked like it would be a big test for Rovers. But after 15 Min's it started to become clear that the only danger for Rovers was the adverse weather conditions with a gale force wind causing Rovers there biggest threat. Rovers who were missing all of there 3 strikers yesterday had to adapt to playing a system without any out and out forwards to lead the line. Pat and Tad took it in turns up top and to be fair did a superb job. Rovers were the better team tru out and I found it difficult to see how withington had won all there games. There a big well organised team but have no real outstanding players. There players are all on the older side so do have experience but there forwards and wide players had no real pace and struggled to hurt us tru out the 90 Min's. From the start they struggled to deal with Dave Harris who was taking there players to the cleaners time and time again. Within the first 10 Min's there No 11 had taken him out 6 times including 2 WWF moves. If we had a decent ref they would have lost at least 3 players to red cards yesterday but the ref was useless . Even when there centre mid hit Tad 2 footed and knee height he only got a talking too. This is where i struggle with the respect to wards refs. There meant to protect players but some like yesterday fail to do there jobs.
Rovers were having most of the possession but fell behind to a freak goal . Check out Paul Parker 1990 against Germany for a replay of there goal. After this it was all Rovers with Tad having the best of the first half chances when sent in one on one his shot was hit straight at the keeper. 1 nil down at half time and we chatted about what a travesty it would be if we lost tis game. Second half and with the wind on our side Rovers went on the attack Tad Pat and Mo all went close. Then Tads Shot from the right hit the cross bar and hit the keepers back only to go agonizingly wide. From the resulting corner Harris found the head and shin of Dee who celebrated his equalizer in fine style. After this Harris mo and tad all went close for a winner and Dee had the ball in there net but no goal. At the end how ever Withington nearly got an undeserved winner but a save and a great on the line clearance from Declan made sure to keep Rovers amazing League home record in tact. Yesterday made it 2 years and 8 months since Rovers last lost a league home game an extraordinary achievement at any level well done lads.

Harris
They could nt find an answer to him yesterday and his hard work deserved a goal or 3 points.
Managers Player
Dual award Tad and Declan
Tad worked hard and his pace was a constant threat won the corner for the goal.
Declan
Another big performance from a player who is fast becoming a great signing for Rovers. Glad he plays for us thats for sure.
Ref Watch 3 out of 10
Need better
Managers Point of view.
These were not the best team we played this season. Its now up to us to make sure we win all our remaining games a big ask but if we do I have no doubt they will drop points. Teams need to make sure they don't get bullied by them and get at there 2 full backs no pace and will give away fouls.
Cheers lads g
