As our captain said this was the perfect game to come back too after the events of 2 weeks ago.
Rovers started brightly against a Failsworth team that got lots of bodies behind the ball. Rovers were very patient . Which was exactly what was needed.
We had chances going close on a number of occasions and a couple of great saves from the Failsworth keeper kept us at bay in the early exchanges. But Rovers kept applying pressure and when the Faisworth defense only half cleared a ball. Nat was on hand to score fro the edge of the box. Rovers were 2 nil up when Lena volleyed home a cross and just before the break Lena doubled her tally and gave Rovers a 3 nil lead.
Second half saw Failsworth to there credit never give up and there have a go attitude paid off when they pulled a goal back. Good goal against a Rovers Defense that looked very solid all afternoon. Belinda scored to make it 4 to 1 Rovers. Then good work from Alison fletcher created a chance for Lena to complete her hat trick which she took well. Alison Fletcher was then unlucky not to get the goal her play deserved when she hit the post. (very nearly a contender for goal of the season) Belinda completed the scoring with a great solo effort to give Rovers a 6 one win and this win set a new record as the first time all 3 Rovers teams have won on the same weekend. Great weekend for he greens.

Triple award.
Lena for her hat trick and all round play. Great to see the new players settling in so well.
Belinda and Kath are the other 2 managers players. Great partnership down the right and involved tru out. With both players never putting a foot wrong. Which can be said for most of e teams to be fair.
Ref watch
8 out of 10
Good display.
Managers point of view.
Very impressed with the team in this match.
Great to see Rovers encourage and be patient but all so impose there play on the opposition. Its easy sometimes to just copy the other team . But very important that we don't.
All so very promising individual plays tru out the team which knitted together to give a good team performance.
This Sunday we play top of the league which will be a big test they have handed out some big beatings so far.
Its gong to be tough but isn't that always the way
Cheers Girls g
