The following message went out on teamer this week.
More Commitment Needed for Training
posted 5 days ago by Damien Mulholland COMMENTS 0
Given this weekends results for both the Saturday and Sunday Teams, it has become very evident that we have areas we need to work on for both teams. This is made nearly impossible due to the lack of 'First Team' players that actually show up to training. It's understandable that people have 'Other' commitments, however members of both teams have to look at these other commitments and ask 'Can these be arranged for another night', in 99% of cases it should be possible.
Does anyone disagree?

Its good to see some one saying some thing on this issue.
As a club this season we have done all we can to make training more appealing.
Some people said too expensive so we reduced the price from £5 to £3 providing we get 14 players or more.
This Thursday we have had 12.
Currently we can only do fitness and a game due to the fact most Sat and Sun first team players dont train so working on tactics is a waste of time.
Its frustrating for managers and players who do turn up .
It all so makes it very hard to progress.
Last year we changed the day to a Tuesday to see if that made any difference. It was a disaster with only 6 players turning up to some sessions and all 6 trained on a Thursday anyway.
We reduced match fees with the idea training fees would make up the shortage. At this rate we are running at a loss unless people turn up.
We need people turning up to training for the club to progress to a good level.
Damo has touched on a growing problem.
Over the next few weeks we need to see turn outs increase or both managers will have to sit down and decide where we go from here.
Regards g.
