Rovers Ladies played there last game of the season yesterday and signed off in fine style with a goals galore display.
Not going to go tru every goal sorry as would be here till next season. Amanda got a double hat trick by scoring 6 Scarlet nearly matched her with 5 Chloe nipped in at the far post to score from Natalie's cross and Rachel scored a very determined goal after being denied by the keeper on her first effort.
This was a good solid team display which saw the girls finish the season with a 5 game unbeaten run. (Well done). Everyone played well against an ever improving Vixens team. Sarah Newman made some good saves to keep there scoring down and our back 4 were superb as all ways . With Cris leading the team well from the back.
Both our centre mids had a solid grip of the game . Especially against there strong number 9 . With Rachel and Alison holding her off well at times. Both wingers were all ways an attacking threat with Chloe unlucky not to add to her goals tally when the Vixens keeper pulled off a great save to deny her. Scarlet and Amanda were a real threat up front as 11 goals between them shows. Its a shame we have nt had the opportunity to have them together before yesterday. But hopefully they will both be around next year as that would be a great combination up front. And Hayley who came on played great as all ways skinning there players at every chance. All so all though they were nt there just a quick mention for Alison Fletcher and Elle who have been excellent this season but could nt be there , Plus of course Sonia who played half a season and Nick who returned to Oz. I know i will have forgotten some people so thanks to every one.

Amanda 6 goals and would have had more if manager had nt asked her to play the last few mins in net

He had his hands full yesterday but dealt well with it,
Managers Point Of View.
As someone said yesterday Vixens have improved from earlier in the season . But so have Rovers and its about keeping improving for next season. We want to improve from where we have left off here and next year look back and say we are better now then we were last year. This result put us to the 20 point mark for the season and saw the team finish with a positive goal difference . I think it all so means we finished 5 th unlucky not to finish higher but thats for next year.
