Team Gk Ric RB Mason 70mins Wally CH Ross CH Andy E LB White RM Fraser Sub 70mins Weavo CM Demo CM Alex LM Harris CF Bills CF Den Sub 30mins Patterison
We started with same team as last week and once again we got off to a bad start, but this time we went 1-0 down with a ball over the top. Within 5 mins we made it 1-1 after some good work by Bills who beat the defender played it across the box for Dennis to tap it into the net.
From there Rovers should have pushed on but we got sloppy again at the back and the Clayton went 2-1 up.
But we rolled the sleeves up and started to play the ball around and we got our second goal with Harris putting it the corner. Bills was out through and hit the post.
Second half was all Rovers, and we had chance after chance, but wastefull finishing didn't help. With the Ref giving and then saying no goal to Ross's dividing head from 1 foot of the floor for off side, and Bills penalty claim waved away... it just was not our day
We were lucky today as Halton as also dropped points, but we need to have the same fight for all our games not just the big ones. As a team we need to communicate and talk more to each other... When we did this at the back they didn't have a chance on goal in the second half our passing was much better..
Man of the match was Andy (German) solid in defence
Ref made 2 bad decisions, needed to be more mobile 7/10

A lucky escape in the end as Halton drew as well. Rovers only turned it on when we went behind on the two occasions.
The overall performance in the 2nd half was much stronger, with numerous chances being carved out. On another day we would have put the game to bed early in the 2nd half and scored more goals, but a combination of a lack of composure in front of goal and bad luck saw us draw.
Communication was the key on Sunday, with the whole team quiet from the first whistle.
With Halton playing in the Cup this weekend we have an opportunity to extend our lead at the top. Hard work and patience is needed on Sunday.
Let's get into the game from the off and set about them, playing our game, at our quick pace.
My MOM would have gone to Andy White - another impressive performance both in defence and supporting attack.
