Rovers second pre season friendly for the Saturday team .
Rovers got off to the best possible start with Atu scoring in the first minute after some good build up play straight from kick off. 1 nil and Staley had nt touched the ball. It could have been 2 nil after 5 minutes . When Tomaz Sopnski s left footed effort smashed against the cross bar with the keeper beaten. Staley then come into the game and started to put pressure on the rovers defense . Which stood strong . It seemed the more pressure Staley put on the rovers defense the more dangerous rovers looked on the break and it was from such a break that Alex Cooley slotted home to put rovers 2 nil up at the break.Rovers new found fitness started to tell in the second half as they took the game by the scruff of the neck. Alex getting his second after holding off 2 strong challenges from the Staley centre half's . Simon added the forth of the afternoon . Rovers were unlucky not to get the clean sheet they deserved when the full back allowed the cross to come in from the right for the striker to nod home. Good victory with the only downside being the injury to our captain Ged 2 minutes from the end .(After all of Staley's efforts to try and stop the outstanding Ged yesterday it was the turn moss pitch that did what 11 Staley players could nt and cropped him .)
Managers player of the match Ricardo who rolled back the years to show the Saturday defenders what defending is all about.

Managers opinion.
This was a decent result after been beaten by this team 9 to 3 last time out. It was good to see everyone responding to what was said before the game and at half time. The formation of 2001 which has made a come back seems to suit the team. How ever as we could all see yesterday it is important that both wingers track back or gaps do appear but all and all a step in the right direction. There is a lot of players yet to come back but its nice to see people taking there chances. G
