Rovers played what could have been their last league game of the season on Sunday and it was another nail biting affair. Needing 3 points for a play-off place there was only one result that would suit. Once again Rovers got the Football on the floor and played some great stuff creating chance after chance and resulting in the newly crowned champions of this league using the long ball over the top tactic.
The half time team talk concentrated on keeping the pressure on and hopefully producing more chances and getting a goal. Manchester YM came out a bit stronger and were causing rovers a bit more of a threat but generally Rovers were still on top and playing the better football.
With 30 seconds of the 90 minutes left and missed chance after missed chance it seemed like Rovers hopes of gaining a play-off place were dead and buried but fortunately Rovers gritty resilience paid off again when Hamed Heshmati got the ball inside the YM area and unleashed a great strike into the roof of the net. 0 – 1 Rovers, and with only the restart left Rovers season was not over yet. A win we thoroughly deserved.

Congratulations lads. Well played and it sounds like you've played good football to get there too. Not that I would ever suggest Mike is capable of bending the truth.........
I'm down on Saturday and if you pay attention I'll teach you how it is possible to play football without having to break into a jog. Watch and learn kids, watch and learn.
C'mon Rovers!!!!
