Rovers 4 - 3 Four In Hand Motown Rovers get there first win of the season with an impressive fighting display againts Four In Hand Motown. After going 2 nil down early in the first half from a long range effort and a tap in from a corner, it looked like it was going to be a bad day. But a fighting mentality was spread through the team with Paul McNeil, Masterman and Captain Jon setting the standard. Firstly Dave Harris managed to force the ball over the line from a long Pearson throw which was flicked on. Then just before half time Mike Masterman got on the end of Gs shot and diverted it passed the keeper to draw us level. 2-2 going into the break. After a passionate half time team talk rovers were up for the second half and began it as they ended the first. We was comfortable in possession and always looked dangerous on the counter. Midway through the second half Masterman played a beautiful diagonal ball across to Dave Harris and it sat up perfectly to lob the oncomming keeper and put rovers into the lead for the first time in the game. Efforts from Pete Evison, Masterman and Dave Harris almost double rovers lead before Masterman assured the win when Petes miss hit fell to him, he made no mistakes and blasted into the roof of the net. Rovers had more chances but it was the visitors who scored with virtually the last touch of the game as rovers switched of, but by then the win was certain.
An Excellent and Professional display from Rovers.
Well done lads.

Great show of determination yesterday after coming from two goals down. In patches we showed what a decent side we are when we pass the ball around and use the flanks. Let's take this positive result into next week. Well done to all involved!

Well done lads, we actually showed on sunday the spirit that we had been missing, the actual desire to win. even at two down no ones head dropped. Lets build on it in the cup at the weekend.
