Rovers 2nd team showed a great deal of improvement this week after being hammered by Urmston last week. Although we still lost there were plenty of signs of improvement, especially considering we had 4 players making thier first start for us. All of the goals came in the first half in a spell of about 15 - 20 ins where we staged a mini collapse. In the second half we rallied well and created several good chanches, even managing to hit the post but we just couldnt find that elusive break. Had we got one back in the second half it would have been interesting to see how Galaxy would have reacted as for most of the game we were at least equal to them. Id just like to say a massive thanks to Chris for volunteering to go in goal - he pulled off a few belting saves. I dont know who we have got next week but if we knuckle down and play like we did in large chunks of this game then we will be alright.

i watched the reserves play against urmston last week. where they got beat 10 nil . urmston were a very good team with 5 or 6 decent players. so it was all ways going to be hard for rovers . how ever i was impressed by the team spirit as a whole. the seconds like the firsts need new faces and i am sure the introduction of the 4 new players today and the return of ross thompson who got man of the match today will help in the coming weeks.well done on a very good second half now go on and add to this next week g.

Excellent second half performance boys, from everyone. First half wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggested, either. There were two errors, one belting finish and one clear offside. But all the new lads stuck to the task well, the team as a whole looked really solid, and there is definitely something to build from this.
