Is noone going to put up a match report from the Sunday games? Plenty of people read the board and it doesn't take much to put down a couple of lines. The more communication a team has the better it'll be. This doesn't mean just on a Sunday!
And besides I want to know how you're getting on.

I'd just like to comment on Sunday's performance. Having played against Cheadle for the past couple of years I was expecting a tough game against a side that would want to win. That is exactly what we came up against and unfortunately some were not up to the task.
Unfortunately Kev got injured in the warmup so Jamie had to be a makeshift keeper. The squad seemed depleated already so this didn't help matters. Generally Rovers lacked any fight or determination to get hold of the ball and once again there was not much communication on the pitch.
Hopefully we can re-group at training and put in a qaulity performance next week. We also need to consider recruiting more players as it seems the introduction of the Saturday team has weakened what "was" an excellent Sunday squad of players.
We can still challenge in this league I feel. We just need to turn up on a Sunday morning ready for a game of Football and not a strole around a field for a giggle.

Manchester rovers 1 cheadle hulme 8 rovers lost there keeper in the warm up to what was a very disappointing day of football. rovers started well enough and had enough possession in the first half but the openings they did create they could NT take Paul Kenny went close as did mike masterman. how ever rovers came in 2 nil down at the break after 2 David James moments from stand in keeper Jamie Ashton . after the break how ever was a different story rovers played some good football going forward but each time it broke down there was an UN willingness from players to track back which costs dear at any level of football . Paul Kenny with the consolation goal from a corner final result rovers 1 cheadle 8 players man of the match Dave Walton
managers view yes we have lost a lot of players to the Saturday team and there is a rebuilding job ahead. but frankly there can be no excuses for this result people went missing and there was not enough hard work put in by the team if you win the first tackle and the ball goes free then you have to win the second tackle if you go forward and the play breaks down then you have to get back behind the ball.there is a long season ahead and a lot of work to do and yes i would agree that we need more players. we lost Paul wild , Pete evision , Paul MC Neil and Kev hawke for this game and with the squad being as bare as it is it did take its toll. more players are needed and we need to pick our selves up and come out wanting to win this Sunday .
