Not the same St Lukes we played last year and a depleted squad including 3 of the 4 centre halfs from previous weeks missing a formation change was required. We played well as a team for the first half but lack of fitness in certain areas was obvious and tired legs caused goals to be leaked. We probably didn't deserve 7-3 but we need to battle harder for results to ome our way.

First half performance was OK lads but the second half can only be described as a shambles. The game lasts for 90 minutes and we have to play, work and concentrate for that amount of time. Personal fitness levels are an individual concern (and I am easily the worst offender) but concentration and discipline are lacking too.
Each player on the team has to accept their own personal responsibility. If the ball is bouncing only 5 yards away from you then you have to make it. Too many let it pass them by and expect an overworked defence to clear it. If you want to be part of a winning team then only hard work and fight will get you there.
On a more positive note neither Fraser or Brandon deserved to lose on Sunday. Well played lads.
Come on Rovers!

Cheers Chris, it was a dissapointing result against a side who we should not really be loosing to. Man for man we had a better team! We've got the players so lets make sure we go and play to our ability next week.

Having a proper referee would help as well. its dissapointing that when there is no ref the game just gets away with a lot of decisions, i was guilty of some crap decisions so sorry. Again we do have an amazing squad to choose from, when everyone is there the selection is hard but when there is hardly anyone to choose from we just need everyone to give that 100%. again a couple of things to look back on from sundays game James when you are in goal you should be more commanding in your area shout for the ball and let your defence know what your doing shouting "f**kin hell" does not put much confidence in your fellow players and for their 3rd goal before half time if you would have kept hold of it i would have give the free kick, but because you didnt they took advantage of it. sorry but it needed saying. The formation we used everyone adapted to it and the wingers got back and helped when needed thanks for that.
lets not give LBM Urmston an easy ride on sunday, lets have a full strength squad to choose from and get out there and battle for the result. And i aint blowing my own trumpet here we need goals and if your top scorer isnt getting to play much it shows other players on the team are willing to get involved too i want to see much more of that from the team
Lets go all football factory and show them we are not there to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(i do not in anyway condone footbal hooliganism or violence nor we should go armed with bats or coshes lets just show them we can give them a good game and match them!!!)

Good legal dislaimer there, J. Covered your back well!
First half was a good even game, and I think the formation was fine. We just need to get a bit more used to it, and for everyone to know their job, and it may well pay off for us. They were worried about that extra man in midfield, and the Defence was nowhere near under the kind of pressure we have faced in past games, as the ball wasn't just coming straight back to us when it was cleared. Definately worth persevering with.
Second half it was clear we were out of puff, especially after two early goals knocked us badly, and we were then chasing the game. Had we been closer, I think we could have got back level at the very least. Are we all asking for treadmills for Christmas then?
Finally, well in to Dirty Den Lampard with the MoM. That last ditch tackle was ace! Shame it was 6-3 at the time, but still good effort dude.

We seem to be able to play well for half games? first half this week, second half the week before. I still think there are far to many silly errors.. i think everyone made at least one on sunday. But we seem to be having games where 3-4 of there goals are basically gifts. Theres no creation on there behalf. Just a hoof over the top where a defender mises the flight of the ball, or our last man at the back trying to take on there strikers with the ball?? and silly goalkeeping errors.. Its not any one person, but everyone just needs to concentrate 100% for the whole game.. Were never going to beat anyone if were going to give them a few goals during the game! We have been miles better in creating chances recently. which is a big positive. lets give it 100% this week and im sure we can at the very least make it a difficult game for them. P.s If anyone wants to join a gym for christmas i know a great one ;D
