Better than last week but there's still some work to do to improve this team. 2-1 up at half time but no result at the end. I can't believe that the other team won because of fitness. If we are good enough to be leading 2-1 then we are good enough to win. It's all about concentrating on our own job for 90mins and not calling everyone else for not doing theirs. We should be encouraging each other. Positive comments breed positive play, and negative comments not only negatively affect who they are directed at but yourself. It's all about teamwork lads and that never say die attitude that brings success. So let's get our heads up and start producing results!!
COME ON ROVERS!!!!

I thought the performance in the first half was really good, none of our chances were created by kicking the ball over the top everytime we got it, but by good passing. and we should really have gone into the break 3 or 4 up.. I think alot of us were guilty of thinking we were going to walk it in the second half. We made 7-8 clear cut chances in the first half and maybe 1 in the second. Which im not sure was all down to fitness? The squad was one of the strongest ive seen in the reserves as well, which made it even more dissapointing. Im sure if we keep a similar bunch of players this week, we can start wining games again soon.

Like Andy says I dont think this result was down to the other team being more fit I thought in the 2nd half a number of players thought the game had been won and didn't bother playing. Once again I must stress everyone needs to put in 110% I'm not one for having a go at fellow players in a public arena but I turn up on a Sunday morning to give my all to the team I play for.
Generally I think the squad is capable of getting a lot of results this season, however like Dave said, positive communication is key to success!

I don't think it was fitness either, apart from me getting cramp (too much beer in Munich!!) and Weavo getting injured (again!) I didn't think they were fitter than us. It was just a case of who wanted to win the most, they were more up for it in the second half than we were.

I would just like to make a point about comments I made with regards to the team losing because of fitness on Sunday. Having not seen the game I cannot obviously comment on fitness. It is just an observation that the reserves on numerous occasions have been ahead at half time only to go and lose the match. Most impartial parties would probably put this down to fitness, but obviously it's a lack of something else. Not a will to win because I believe every player that dons a Rovers shirt has the will and want to win, so it must be concentration. Both teams have 11 players on the pitch with a job to do. If we all stick to our individual task the team will come through and hence what makes us a TEAM and not 11 individuals trying to do the job of 11. Let's get our spirits up lads. This is a very long season ahead of us. 28 games to play of which we have 23 left. That's more than last season in total!!!
COME ON ROVERS!!!!!
P.S. Markh - You must be a member of the MPSL message board. The darts match was in relation to that.
