I have to say that this result disappoints me. After having made such a good start it baffles me when from a selection of 22 players we can only manage to have 12 players turn up to play! This made the game a lot harder even before we kicked a ball.
Even so, playing football on a Sunday morning is all about everyone's enjoyment. Ok, we had a depleted squad, but this should not take away the fact that we are playing for fun. I have to agree it's nice to win but unfortunately this will not happen every week for any team. We should not be resigned to shouting abuse at each other at any point of the game. It's not pleasant to see, it's not pleasant when it's hurled at you and most importantly it's not constructive OR productive to the team. So from now on, I want everyone to play football and enjoy themselves. I don't want to hear any reports of verbal abuse on the football pitch. I want all players to give constructive comments and HELP others on the pitch by talking, NOT SAYING "YOU'RE ****ING nuts","THIS IS nuts" and stomping off in a huff.
Football is a TEAM game. We all want to enjoy it. Nobody likes losing but it's not the end of the world.
COME ON ROVERS!!!!

Lots of new faces to get to know. Big chris at right back played well when he came on and the ref was an utter joke - at least three goals were offside. On a lighter note, I've no idea where the fact I support Arsenal has come from (on the site). For my sins I'm an Everton fan!!

The ref was a joke but that life we have 2 play to the whistle and stop having a go at each other. We played bad but let show how good we can play this week. Come on lads we are just as good as the 1st team on are day "lets show them"

It was a case of lots of different aspects which cost us so bad on that game. Not having the same back 5 as last week certainly was not a positive. The ref not playing offsides , which cost us badly and it took us a while to adjust to this fact. However if we played to the whistle they may have been prevented. Winning the arial battle was allways going to be hard when they more than towered over us man for man! But their was a lot of positives to take from the game. Some new faces played well when they came on, which gives us more options and a greater competition for places which can only be good for the team.On the very few occasions we did get forward we attacked well and looked dangerous. Out of our 3 attacks we managed to get 2 goals, even if the second had a touch of stupidity ,on the goalkeepers part. So lets learn the lesons from this game and move on! Come on Rovers lets pick it up and play well like we all know we can. Cashback!!!

I think the power of the second shot beat the keeper? I think this weeks game will probably see only a handful of last sundays team start in the same positions due to so many players missing last week, Changing the whole back 4 like we had to do on Sunday wouldnt do any side any favours, so i think we need to forget it and move on!! I think people do need to realise the main reason we turn up on a sunday is to enjoy ourselves, i know enjoyment to most people is winning, but it would be nice to see more people back at the pub after games, no matter what the result is Bring on this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!
